6th Annual Plain City Classic Car Cruise-In Slated for Saturday August 2nd
On Saturday August 2nd, 2008, the 6th Annual Plain City Classic Car Cruise-In presented by Bob Chapman Ford will be held on the newly paved Main Street between Park Street and Chillicothe Street in Uptown Plain City. Event registration will be held at Lovejoy’s Plaza, 220 West Main Street, between 11 am and 2 pm the day of the Cruise-In. Registration fee is $10, with $1 benefiting The Friends of the Plain City Public Library.
Twenty-eight awards in seven categories including a specially designed Best of Show trophy by metal artist Petar Brown will be presented at 3:30 pm.
Raffled items, a 50/50 raffle, vendors, music, children’s activities provided by Darby Grace Brethren Church, and an open silent auction for a one-day pass to the Mid-Ohio Driving School will be available the day of the event.
The event is sponsored by the Uptown Plain City Organization and the Plain City Business Association, and brought to you by the Village of Plain City. All proceeds from this event will benefit the charitable efforts of the Uptown Plain City Organization, a 501 (c) 3 organization founded to preserve and revitalize the historic business district in Uptown Plain City. Associate sponsors of this event include The Plain City Advocate, Mainstreet Treasures, Dave’s Computer Service, Lovejoy’s Market, Plain City Druggist, Wolfden Carbon Fiber Products, Sports on Tap, The Mid-Ohio School, and Edward Jones.
UPCO and the Plain City Food Pantry welcome your donation of canned goods and non-perishable packaged goods on the day of the cruise-in.
